Currently the VP of Commerce & Digital Marketing at Def Jam Recordings, the overarching responsibility of the role is to oversee all digital strategy for the Def Jam brand as well as its roster of illustrious artists. Digital includes, but is not limited to, social media, partner relations, advertising, video, streaming strategy, CRM, as well as unique digital partnerships & collaborations.

The acclaimed label continues to thrive 100+ years later with one of the strongest rosters of contemporary and legacy artists. While at Columbia Records, duties included working closely with digital partners, overseeing digital strategy for 15-20 artists at a time, as well as working with counterparts on unique digital marketing campaigns.

As the leader in premium television, HBO continues to provide innovative content to its viewers while pushing the limits with marketing & experimental tactics. As part of the corporate communications team as well as the emerging social media team, the role was integral when developing the online voice of the company. In addition to working on a number of original programs, J.D. also worked closely with the HBO Sports team.
